The Vein Clinic in Salina Kansas

Heartland Cosmetic Surgery and Salina Surgical Arts Center is proud to announce the opening of “The Vein Clinic at Salina Surgical Arts”. It has been estimated that 50% of the general population suffers from venous insufficiency. At its simplest this can involve unsightly spider veins and varicose veins of the legs. Many people will experience leg fatigue, restless legs syndrome, pain, cramping and swelling. They may not realize that this is coming from incompetence of the valves in their venous system. Now with new technology involving laser fibers, the incompetent veins can be treated in a minimally invasive way with little or no down time. In this manner, varicose veins and spider veins can also be treated or removed with excellent long term results.

The heart of this technology is the CoolTouch 1320 nm laser platform. Once an incompetent vein has been identified, a laser fiber can be inserted through a needle into the vein and the vein collapsed with laser energy from within. This avoids the rather traumatic stripping of veins that was the only treatment option in the past.

Many of these procedures are now available on an outpatient basis through Heartland Cosmetic Surgery.
